Texas CattleWomen
Organized in 1972 as Texas Cowbelles, we changed our name to CattleWomen in 1986. As a member of Texas CattleWomen, you are automatically a member of American National CattleWomen. We are certified by the United States Agriculture Department as a 'Producer Organization" enabling us to nominate for the Cattlemen's Beef Promotion & Research Board.
Who Are Texas CattleWomen?
Women whose purpose is to work for the betterment of the beef industry and to act as a clearinghouse for information concerning it.
Texas CattleWomen bring the best of volunteerism to the beef industry. They are active in beef promotion, education and legislation. We are affiliated with the American National CattleWomen, which is a forceful group of 10,000 members now celebrating their 50th Anniversary. CattleWomen work closely with Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers, The National Cattlemen's Association, The Texas Cattle Feeders, The Beef Industry Council and any Independent CattleWomen's or Cattlemen's organization. They are in the forefront in both national and state promotion projects.
A primary goal of Texas CattleWomen is to work to keep consumers informed of nutrition information related to beef.- We serve as ambassadors of the Cattle Industry and insure consumers that beef is a safe and wholesome product. The goal of CattleWomen is to maintain and build demand for beef products that satisfy consumer needs and wants to promote a positive image of the cattle industry.
