Texas CattleWomen Scholarships: One Thousand dollar scholarships are awarded annually to three college students pursuing careers in either Food and Nutrition, Ag Communication or Restaurant Hotel Institution Management.
Legislation: Under the supervision of a legislative chairman, Texas Cattle Women are kept informed on legislation pertinent to the Beef Industry. Our Legislative Alert System is designed to mobilize support when and where it is needed most -both at the state and national levels.
Meetings: State conventions are held in the spring in conjunction with the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association, and in the fall in concurrence with the Texas Cattle Feeders Association. These meetings are always informative and are of value to participants. On the national level, American National CattleWomen meet in conjunction with the National Cattlemen's Association. The Texas CattleWomen organization consists of local organizations which function not only for the needs or their communities, but also for state and national goals.
Information: A monthly newsletter is sent to each member to keep the organization informed on all the timely events and issues of importance to CattleWomen and the Beef Industry.
